Placido Wins Attraction Employee of the Year – State of TN

October 15, 2024 – Gatlinburg - On Thursday, September 26, Zadaly Placido, of Gatlinburg was selected as Employee of the Year (large budget) at the annual Tennessee Governor's Conference on Hospitality and Tourism in Chattanooga. The annual TNHTA (Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association) award recognizes hard work, dedication, and exceptional service.

Placido was chosen from hundreds of attraction employees in the State of Tennesee. She has worked at Gatlinburg SkyPark for five years as a ticket seller. Her infectious smile and warmth have made her a favorite member of the team with other ticket sellers, supervisors, shift managers and the leadership team. Placido is always upbeat with a smile on her face and ready to help in any way. She is always ready to take up the slack and pitch in where needed. She speaks Spanish and can communicate to our Spanish speaking guests.

Zadaly is a single mom who just earned her US citizenship while working full-time at the Gatlinburg SkyPark. She balances work, life and family and has a positive attitude.
