SkyPark Donations $5,000 to Sevier County Food Ministries
Mountain attraction supports local food security efforts with generous contribution
Gatlinburg SkyPark has donated $5,000 to Sevier County Food Ministries (SCFM), supporting the organization's mission to ensure no one in Sevier County goes hungry.
General Manager Randy Watson and the SkyPark team presented the donation to Jim Davis at Gatlinburg SkyPark. The contribution will help SCFM continue serving an average of 1,100 families per week with emergency food assistance. In 2025 they recorded over 52,000 neighbor visits.
"We're thankful to be part of the Sevier County community, and supporting organizations like Sevier County Food Ministries is an important way we give back," said Watson. "The work they do to serve families in need is vital to our community's wellbeing."
Founded in 1992, Sevier County Food Ministries is a nonprofit organization staffed by dedicated volunteers who serve families experiencing food shortages. In 2024 alone, the ministry recorded nearly 50,000 visits. During a typical visit, families receive bread, produce, non-perishables, meat, eggs, and additional items as available.
Gatlinburg SkyPark is home to the SkyBridge, North America's longest pedestrian cable bridge, along with the SkyLift chairlift, SkyTrail hiking system, and Smoky Mountain Smash restaurant.
Sevier County Food Ministries is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. For more information, visit seviercountyfoodministries.org or call (865) 428-5182.
