2025 Festival of Flags

Festival of Flags Returns to Gatlinburg's SkyBridge for Second Year

GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Gatlinburg SkyPark proudly announces the return of Festival of Flags, launching its second annual celebration on Monday, May 16, 2025. Building on last year's tremendous success, this year's enhanced display will feature all 50 US State Flags, the American Flag, and Military Flags flying majestically above Gatlinburg from the record-setting SkyBridge through July 6, 2025.

The Festival of Flags transforms North America's longest pedestrian cable suspension bridge into a breathtaking patriotic showcase, offering visitors an unparalleled viewing experience high above the Great Smoky Mountains. This expanded celebration extends our tribute to the nation throughout the Memorial Day and Flag Day seasons.

What's New This Year:

  • Extended display period running additional days through July 6
  • Enhanced flag presentation with improved positioning for optimal photography

As guests enter the SkyBridge, they'll discover flags arranged alphabetically by state along the right side of the bridge. Visitors are encouraged to locate and photograph their home state flag, sharing their patriotic moments on social media using #FestivalOfFlags and #GatlinburgSkyPark.

The Festival of Flags will be on display through July 6, with SkyBridge access available daily from 9am to 9pm, weather permitting.

"Last year's inaugural Festival of Flags exceeded all our expectations, with visitors from across the country expressing how moved they were by this unique patriotic display," said Randy Watson, General Manager of Gatlinburg SkyPark. "For our second year, we've enhanced the experience while maintaining that same sense of national pride that makes this event so special."

"There's something truly inspiring about seeing all 50 states represented together against the backdrop of the Smoky Mountains," Watson added. "We invite everyone to experience this one-of-a-kind celebration that you can only find here in Gatlinburg."

The Gatlinburg SkyBridge, suspended 1,800 feet above sea level, offers visitors stunning 360-degree views while they experience this patriotic tribute. The attraction continues to be recognized as Tennessee's #1 Lookout destination.
